Artist Biography

Angelika Neumann began her artistic journey studying fashion illustration at the Meisterschule für Mode in Munich, where she developed a deep sensitivity for form, line, and aesthetics.
Her pursuit of perfection and craftsmanship led her to classical painting techniques, which she refined at institutions such as the Florence Academy of Art.
Rooted in precision and attention to detail, the classical approach formed the foundation of her visual language.
But over time, a growing desire for freedom emerged – a process that, over the years, guided her to break away from old structures and develop a visual language entirely her own.

Today, her art is an act of breaking free – a liberation from constraints, a playful tension between opposites, and an invitation to explore the unknown.
Her distinctive portraits of women radiate a sense of lightness while holding deep strength.
They are powerful and graceful, bold yet full of sensitivity – beings that do not conform, but evolve.
“My paintings are for those who sense that more is possible,” she says.
“They are sources of strength and reminders that true freedom begins when we give ourselves permission.”

In her studio, she doesn’t follow a fixed plan – but rather the creative flow itself.
Her works are born from intuition and experimentation – through layers, breaks, and the conscious dissolution of structure.
Beyond painting, she also develops creative projects centered around freedom and transformation.
Her mission is to inspire others to discover themselves and unlock their own creative force.

Visit me in my studio

I live and work in Osterhofen – a small town nestled between Deggendorf and Passau. My home with a garden also holds my creative space. One bright room has become both my studio and office. If you’re nearby and would like to experience my art in person, feel free to reach out. I’d love to set up a time to meet.

The Art of Liberation

My paintings radiate a playful lightness while carrying deep power within them. I experience this myself: When I sit at my desk with my paintings behind me, I can feel their energy.

In my creative process, I work with collage, acrylic, and texture. I reduce forms, let lines dance, and play with a reduced color palette: Black – which is not black – white, and one accent color. I draw loosely, consciously break up structures, and create spaces where freedom becomes tangible. This process of Emergent Expressionism – allowing emergence rather than controlling – transfers to the viewer.

My art reminds you of your power and gives you the courage to walk your own path. What happens when you let go?

I wish for my works to open a space where you can breathe – lightly and deeply. A space where you remember: your longing, your strength, your inner compass. It’s not important what you see. What matters is what you feel.

Because perhaps – just perhaps – your next chapter begins here.
